David C. Minor

David Minor is the editor of the Crooked Lake Review Blog.

A native of Batavia, David lives in Pittsford where he creates historical research materials for authors and students under the name Eagles Byte. His "Eagles Byte Timeline," a year-by-year chronicle of historical events in New York has appeared in each issue of the Crooked Lake Review since 1998 when he started with the year 1784. David's chronicles of the year have been expanding. The early years each fit on a single page. Now each year requires many pages. The Timeline is taken from David's radio scripts for Simon Pontin's Salmagundy radio program on WXXI-FM (91.5). David can be heard every Saturday morning at 9:15 a.m. talking about various aspects of world history. David Minor celebrated completing 300 scripts with a 300-year glimpse back at the beginnings of New Amsterdam and the pervasive Dutch influence on New York City that has continued to the present.

David publishes a weekly email newsletter of his scripts and other historical material. David now has his entire set of chronologies for NYC and NYS posted on his webpage. They cover the period from 1,100,000,000 BC to 1990 AD, and can be accessed at http://home.eznet.net/~dminor/NYNY.html . David's web page has its own site-specific search engine.

David also writes other articles for the Crooked Lake Review. These have included his Life of a Salesman series about the life of Charles Williamson.
